sweet William
Well hello! It’s been a while! It seems right to update my blog to include a new family session as I’ve revamped + put in work on my family section of this space. WHY THO? Because I’ve mostly spent the past 3 years overloaded with wedding work…reluctantly saying no to extra families…but I’m back. As my own family life changes, and I want to be more present on weekends, but still work, families present a great option. But, let’s be real, who will hire a lady without work to show for it! I was connected to this sweet family through flowers - she took some of my tuber babies last summer + we’ve shot two sessions since. I love this family + keep mentioning it, but it’s just so fun to revisit the “baby years” now that we’re “out of them” haha. Spent the last few minutes once we had stopped shooting reading a book to Grace because, while being a big sister is fun? It’s also nice to get some individual attention from a new person in your house :)

as you can see, my newborn sessions are VERY lifestyle and organic. I will get sweet photos of you + your baby, but I will not stuff your baby into a basket or physically impossible - photoshopped only - poses :) If you’re interested in chatting about newborn sessions, get in touch!
an amazing summer day at Revery
I cannot WAIT to be back here a bunch this summer and Fall! One of my favorite place to shoot!
a March Wedding G I V E A W A Y
For the next week, I’m giving away (this gets confusing, I realize, which is why it’s here, and also originally on my instagram to enter!):
a free hour of wedding coverage // a free engagement session // $350 credit towards an album
Confused much? So here’s the breakdown of who gets what….
inquire and book me for your wedding in 2022 or 2023 and get a free hour of wedding coverage
currently have me booked for your 2022 or 2023 wedding and get a free engagement session OR album credit
if I’ve already shot your wedding, then get $350 towards an album that I’ll help design with you!
I think that explains it, but if you still have questions please feel free to use the contact me or email me to sort things out!
Theresa + James | Married at North 4th Corridor Brick + Mortar
If you’re not new to my online presence, you know I thrive off the sun, and all all things light. Well, this January day: full of overcast and foggy skies might have forever changed what I look for on a winter wedding day. It was….perfect. A grey day filled with the warmth of the brick of this venue was just the vibe Theresa + James were going for.
I love winter weddings. LOVE. Enjoy viewing their day through my lens!

and then, with winter and all, we popped over to the Smith Bros building + up to Revere to shoot some more bridal party + portrait couple photos.

Siri + Rohan | married at the Franklin Park Conservatory!
a Southern Indian wedding including an American Ceremony, Hindu Ceremony and reception at the Franklin Park Conservatory in Columbus Ohio
Siri + Rohan had a perfect mid summer wedding celebration. An American ceremony in the morning followed by a Hindu ceremony, a break, then their elegant evening reception at the Palm House venue of the Franklin Park Conservatory.
I’m always so impressed by just how much grace couples who incorporate MANY events into their days are…they’re so energetic and shine throughout the entire day….and they’re almost always my favorite days!

quick outfit change, and onto the next!

and, finally! a night time reception. Love love love! enjoy!

STRONGWATER
Strongwater Columbus can start this list off strong. It’s basically a blank slate that a couple can do up as much, or as simple, as their vision allows. It’s easy to access - and the space allows for a variety of set ups on a wedding day. With both indoor and outdoor space, you’re set for any weather… and I’ve seen lots of it! THE rainiest wedding I think I’ve ever experienced…and I promise, while you might worry about rain on your wedding day, it always brings a level of emotion for your guests! AND, LET’S NOT EVEN GET STARTED ON THE SPOTS TO FIND FOR PORTRAITS HERE!!
You know you live in Ohio when….almost all of your favorite venues are because they are “safe for many kinds of weather.” And, while this is true for this venue, too, it’s hardly hard to see why there are a bajillion other reasons to love it!

This venue. Let’s just talk about how wonderful it is that Milo’s Catering went ahead and brought it back to life after what we’ve all been through since 2020. It’s simply stunning. And, a wonderful way to celebrate Columbus.
It’s wonderful in all the seasons…and Lord knows you can’t count on anything anymore when it comes to consistency in wedding weather!
**addendum**
I’m sorry, this list is incomplete without pointing out that….BY FAR AND AWAY, my absolute favorite place to shoot is on anyone’s private property. Anyone I’ve worked with, or even written back to an inquiry about a private property wedding knows this. There is something so so special about taking a space, meaningful to YOU, and transforming it to a place to welcome your most loved family + friends, and start your married life together.
