film is not (ever) dead
Sharing recent film scans from The Darkroom Lab, shot on Kodak portraits 400 35mm film by Jessica love photography in and around near me Columbus Ohio. Venues include Revery, Jorgensen Farms, North 4th Corridor Brick and Mortar. Film is exciting to shoot because it takes talent and observation skills to properly expose for light and conditions.
I love knowing when people find me because they’re diving down an internet rabbit hole of film photography (do we hashtag #film for that?). I’ll always try to incorporate film into my wedding and family shooting - and hopefully some of these recent film scans show you why!
the grain on that one!

teasers from a wedding at Peak at Edison near me in Gahanna Ohio by wedding photographer Jessica Love.
This is it, summer routine of sharing a quick share with the blog, then slowly trickling it onto IG. Enjoy a few from a new-to-me-venue : The Peak at Edison in Gahanna, Ohio. I didn’t know what to expect, but loved the modern lights + open sky on the balcony level. I hope to be back again SOOOOON!
I cannot even tell you how incredibly happy I am to see color again. Ya know flowers are my favorite, and I truly cannot get enough of this summer so far!

Wedding Photography
Every wedding tells a unique story, and as a luxury family wedding photographer, my goal is to encapsulate the moments that matter most. From the anticipation before the ceremony to the joyful celebration with family and friends, I employ both digital and film techniques to create timeless images that reflect your love story.
Locations around Westerville, such as the serene Uptown District and the scenic Hoover Reservoir, provide stunning scenes for your wedding photos. Each venue offers a distinct atmosphere, perfect for documenting every detail—from the delicate lace of a bridal gown to
It's no secret that when I’m not working, I love not working, and absolutely enjoy my time away…but also that when I AM working, I love it and am so grateful for all that I get to see and capture! Here’s a quick update, because we’re finding ourselves in the “working phase” of my duality ;)
and, finally, an Easter wedding at Oak Grove Jorgensen’s amazing greenhouse venue!
a rainy proposal
a proposal in German Village and a quick walk around in rainy spring weather by Jessica love photography
true story: photographing proposals is terrifying, AND I LOVE IT!
I get very excited for them, then as it’s happening, get the same butterflies and woozy feeling every single time. On Saturday, in THE most charming German Village neighborhood in spring, Brandon asked Anna to marry him IN THE RAIN. As if just looking out for the proposal wasn’t enough, now I’m also nervous about the rain! Well, it went perfectly and I’m always super honored to get to capture this moment for couples! Here are a few peeks!
Sunday faves!
wedding photography from a Friday night wedding at Jorgensen Farms The Gardens venue in Westerville, Ohio. Teasers from a Saturday Elopement with Windi from Run to an Elopement at the Franklin Park. It is an honor to photography weddings and love - all love in Ohio and surrounding midwest areas. All photography by jessica love photography
truly, if I can keep up with blogging a few select favorites from the weekend for the bulk of wedding season, I’ll be amazed with myself! this weekend included a Friday wedding at Jorgensen Farms and a Saturday Elopement at Franklin Park. Every once and a while Ohio weather agrees with what we need it to be - and it was absolutely perfect for both events!

I hear myself being so annoying about how much I love my job and my couples, and getting to be a part of so much joy every weekend…but I also am ok with that energy going out into the world!
