IN HOME SESSIONS

I get it, when you’re growing + raising + expanding your family everything feels harder. I’m stuck right between two worlds: I have kids ranging from four years old to eleven years old, and there is such a difference in the parts of my day. I remember - so vividly - what it was like when my oldest was 4. How everything felt new, fresh, young (!). And while it’s overwhelming in those moments, there’s nothing quite like having the photos to go back (I don’t know about you, but my sleep was close to not existing at that time, so my memory is a little fuzzy!) and look at how we lived those years. How we lived those years, but like, freshly, through a photographer’s eyes.

That’s my hope for an in home session. Within the comfort of your home, your children open up, show me them, and I get to capture a true piece of what your life looks like in these moments.

how the sessions work

We’ll decide on a time, and hopefully start at home. We’ll plan to shoot for about 90 minutes, but my biggest promise is that I won’t keep shooting if I can tell that you / your kids are D-O-N-E. I like when I can arrive and you’re not rushing to “get ready for photos” but rather it feels organic as I can enter into your home, and get to know + help the kids get comfortable with me by not putting the pressure on them to start performing for the camera right away. It might be me reading some books to a new big sis, or giving your middle child (we call our middles the “tweedles” because they are always looking for a little bit more ;) ) some attention…but number one key is that we’re all comfortable and ready to make some magic happen!
