Courtney + Nick | married!

Looking back on this wedding, I love it more than I did when I was shooting it. Courtney, and her beautifully unique dress are so perfect! The flowers from Rose Bredl, all the heart eyes!! These two are so fun and goofy to be around, I'm so grateful to have had the chance to work with them! Enjoy!

2017 brides: I'm talking to you!

SO here's the thing. The future is now. I can think, overthink, and then overthink some more about what I want to do with my business, and where I want it to be in a year, two years...ORRRRR I can ACT.

This next wedding year, 2017, will see drastic changes in my business model. As in: I will no longer take everything that comes my way. I am downgrading the number of weddings I will shoot in a year from 30 (THIRTY! WHAT AM I CRAZY!?!) to maximum 20. What's this mean? Right? Are you wondering that? Less talky, more get to the pointy?

I want more substance. I'm a bit afraid to write this, and make it known, because I don't want to be little the work I've done up until now. I have loved, and felt incredibly HONORED to be a part of each and every single wedding I've photographed. I adore all my previous couples...but where I want to go from here is to couples who have a vision that matches mine. Who don't see their wedding day memories to be constrained by a 6 hour window. I want to spend days with my couples. I want to be there for everything, and nothing. I want my brides to put their dress on when it's best for them, not a half hour before they need to rush to see their future husband. I want to watch the bride's niece or nephew struggle to get dressed in their cute little get up (that was, no doubt, planned for for MONTHS!), without sighs from anyone else feeling like there isn't time for this.

How amazing does that sound!? If you're a potential bride here reading this, and you're like YESSSSS! I AM DOWN WITH THIS! Then, email me immediately. Like, really. I'm in the starting out phases of this, and what that means to you, is a really great deal.

I'll be sharing more of my thoughts about this over in this space. As well as the goodness I'm shooting this year. For now you'll have to follow along on instagram (@_jessicalovephotography) or juuuuust trust me. It's all good, and I can't wait for you to see!

Corrie + Darren | married!

best of cleveland wedding photography - screw factory wedding

screw factory wedding

I'm not real big into stereotypes, or big fat blanket statements...but I will say one thing, with 100% certainty and TRUTH: a wedding of a couple that has been dating for over TEN YEARS is always the BEST THING IN THE WORLD. I've had a few in my wedding photography experience, and each one (Ahem, Nick and Alaina, Sarah and Drew, to name a few) stands out so vividly in my mind about the power of love, patience, and true everything. They're like, for real, better than fairy tales.

Corrie and Darren are no different. Their wedding was SO MUCH a celebration of the people they are, individually, and have come to be TOGETHER, on their own schedule. Their love, drive, and commitment for each other is admirable. It was truly an honor to get to watch them make the jump into married life on this day.

So there's all that good stuff, AND one of my new favorite venues around. The Screw Factory! (<---right!? so fun!) So any of you brides out there (in Cleveland) looking for an industrial-blank -slate of a venue, look no further (for the venue, and then book me to come with you, because I'm obsessed).

On to the fun! the photos!

Enjoy!

Laura + Ben | married!

Laura + Ben's High Line wedding was a perfect celebration of their love. They were surrounded by the people they love, and so comfortable, that when it was time to walk down the aisle, it was as though they were simply made to marry each other. No nerves. No jitters. So sweet, and pure love!

High Line is a gorgeous venue + I'm always happy to shoot there. Enjoy seeing what I saw, along with some help from my trusty sidekick, Savannah, below!

(and I'm just going to put this little piece of hope into the universe. I'm way down for offering my handlettering/calligraphy for brides and events! Scary, YUP! But I love it, and find myself with all my "spare time" (which I have essentially none of! basically nervous writing during Cavs games!) practicing and writing and writing! SOOOOO if you want to chat about it with me, I'm game!)

Katie + Tyler

jorgensen farm wedding jessica love.jpg

I remember first talking with Katie about how she wanted me to shoot her wedding as I left my midwife appointment...in OCTOBER of 2014! We chatted over Jeni's about parenting styles (me to my then 2 and 4 year old boys, and her to her almost 1 year old boy), weddings, Clintonville, and everything in between. After a first birthday lifestyle shoot for their family, and a frigid engagement session, and over a YEAR later, the wedding finally came! I couldn't wait to shoot at Jorgensen, I've fallen in love with all the images I've seen from weddings there, I just wanted to make my own!

It's so awesome watching + getting to shoot a family coming together on a wedding day. Of course, my Mama heart melted when her little man came to see her and Tyler all dressed up...and the way he wandered around the ceremony, so cute!

*scroll to the bottom for a vendor line up!*

Excited that I'll be back at this gorgeous venue in a few months, twice!

Enjoy!

Jessica + Javier | bridal portraits!

Jessica + Javier weren't even actually MY clients. My assistant + awesome second shooter, Savannah mentioned a while back to me how she was going to do a bridal shoot for a couple who, just the previous summer, got married at the Franklin Park Conservatory, but didn't quite love all of their bridal portraits. I thought it sounded super awesome, and smart of them, to go back, so soon, and get the portraits they wished they had done on their wedding day. (note to future brides: make time for portraits on your wedding day, avoid hiring uncle to do said portraits!)

Well, when it came down to it, Savannah's scheduled included a birth, and Jessica + Javier's schedule was not REscheduleable! ...thus they became MY clients! Thank goodness for our serendipitous meeting - I loved getting to remake these images for them + hope they fill the empty spot of wedding photos they were missing out on!

Enjoy!
